Rheged Ravens Roller Derby

The Rheged Ravens will be a WFTDA aliged team, set up to allow players from the North West of England, mainly Cumbria and Lancashire, to play games and have a space to train.

I’ve created this team as the leagues already based in this area of the country sometimes struggle to get enough players to take part in scrims, games and tournaments. The hope is of forming a collective team / challnge team for the North West of England to allow us all to take part in more games and to play more derby.

The team is not seen as a replacement for the leagues already in the area, but as an opportunity for players to get more games and more track time. The team will look to offer track time to players from Border City, Preston, Blackpool and Furness, however anyone looking for extra track time is welcome to join if there is space.

Where we are right now

We currently have over 50 skaters on our roster from over all the North West of England! 

We have several upcomgin scrims planned:

12th October v Rainy City Rebels
15th November v Arcadia Roller Derby
12th January v North Wales Roller Derby
1st February v Manchester Valkyries

 I’m looking at the possiblility of hosting semi regular traiing sessions, this could be once a month, or once per week depending on feedback and venue availablility.
